Meet Dr. Mitchell Dobrzelewski

A Gaylord, Michigan native and graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Dr. Dobrzelewski received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Michigan State University and completed the Doctor of Optometry program at Ferris State University in 1988. He has practiced in the Lansing area since 1995, with experience at Blue Care Network as well as private and commercial practices, then opening DeWitt Optometry in 1999.

He has also served as part-time clinical facilitator for Michigan College of Optometry at the Jackson Prison Hospital Eye Clinic, and currently oversees Optometry students at DeWitt Optometry and CareFree Optometry.

He opened the CareFree Optometry Clinic in Lansing alongside a fellow Optometrist in 2008. As an avid Spartan, he enjoys attending MSU events, traveling with his wife, Martha, and son, Aidan, golf, and landscaping. He is also a participating member of St. Jude Parish, Kiwanis, and the Knights of Columbus.
